This Kentucky Straight Bourbon is produced by Lux Row Distillers and is based on a classic rye-forward mash bill consisting of 78% corn, 10% rye, and 12% malted barley.

The whiskey is first traditionally aged in new, charred American oak barrels and then receives an additional six-month finish in port wine casks, adding depth and fruity nuances.

Ezra Brooks 99 is also a sour mash bourbon – a method where part of the previous fermentation is reused in the next batch, creating consistency and complexity in the flavor. After distillation, the whiskey is charcoal filtered, contributing to a smooth and rounded mouthfeel.
