About Fiocco di Vite

Fiocco di Vite is an Italian sparkling Moscato, whose name poetically means "snowflake of the vine".

History & Background

Fiocco di Vite is made by Fontanafredda, one of Piedmont's most respected wine houses, with roots dating back to 1858 when it was founded by Emanuele Alberto di Mirafiori, son of Italy's first king Vittorio Emanuele II. Fontanafredda is best known for its Barolo wines, but with Fiocco di Vite it has created a light, sparkling Moscato that shows a different, more playful side of the house. The name - which poetically means 'snowflake of the vine' - refers to the white, frost-like bloom that settles on the grapes during the early harvest.

Production & Style

The wine is made from Moscato grapes using a lightly sparkling method that preserves the grape's natural aroma.

Signature Style

Sweet, Floral, Lightly Sparkling
The flavor offers a sweet, floral character with a lightly sparkling finish.
