  • Large orange party bottle with aperitif liqueur
    Item no.: 22227865480-67093-0024

The same sunshine-coloured aperitif as the classic - just in a giant 300 cl party bottle made to keep the celebration going.

    Expert description

Aperol Aperitivo BIG BOTTLE is an Italian Herbal liqueur based on sweet and bitter oranges, rhubarb and herbs, bottled at 11% in a large 300 cl bottle.

Aperol was created in 1919 by brothers Luigi and Silvio Barbieri in the northern Italian city of Padua, who wanted an aperitif with lower alcohol strength than the other bitter liqueurs of the time. The recipe is still secret, but the signature orange colour and bittersweet taste come from a blend of oranges, rhubarb and a wide range of herbs and roots. Today Aperol is owned and produced by Gruppo Campari. The BIG BOTTLE format is made for parties, receptions and summer events, where many Aperol Spritz need pouring at once.

    Taste

The nose is refreshing with bitter oranges and a hint of herbs. On the palate, Aperol Aperitivo is bittersweet and easy-drinking with a clear orange character, while the finish is short and cleansing with a pleasant bitterness.

    Did you know?

  • Belvedere giant bottle in frosted glass with lit palace behind the bar
    Item no.: 22227865479-7228

Behind a bar there are bottles you pour from and bottles you point at. Three litres of frosted glass with a palace printed down the side belongs to the second kind. It does not get put away when the evening ends.

    Expert description

Belvedere Ultra Premium is a Polish Vodka made from Dankowskie rye, distilled four times and bottled at 40% in a 300 cl bottle.

At this size the bottle becomes furniture. The frosted surface catches light differently from clear glass, and the image of the Belweder Palace with its bare trees spreads across an area where the detail finally becomes properly legible. Put a light source behind it and the palace draws itself through the glass.

The vodka inside is the regular house expression. Dankowskie rye from Polish fields is run once at an agricultural distillery and then three times through column stills at Polmos Żyrardów, where it is blended with water from artesian wells on the grounds. There are no additives whatsoever, and as a Polish Vodka there may not be.

The rye character is the entire point behind a bar. Belvedere carries enough body to be felt through citrus, ginger and coffee alike, and because it has not been distilled down to plain neutrality, two drinks built on it do not simply resemble each other in different colours.

    Tasting notes

    Nose

Toasted bread and white pepper, with a touch of vanilla behind. The aroma is broad rather than sharp.

    Palate

A soft start where the rye sits creamy in the middle, before a spiced warmth rises and stays put.

    Finish

Long and dry. The pepper holds, and a nutty, almost floury impression turns up at the end.

    Specifications

    Name: Belvedere Ultra Premium
    Distillery: Polmos Żyrardów
    Region/Country: Żyrardów, Poland

Serving suggestion: Pour it slowly into an Espresso Martini, where the rye can hold its ground against the coffee.

  • Magnum bottle of Dalva 2005 Colheita Port with golden-orange label
    Item no.: 22227865464-88143

Most Colheita Ports are bottled in standard 75 cl bottles - this one was given a Magnum, a format almost as rare in this category as the vintage itself.

    Expert's Description

Dalva 2005 Colheita Magnum is a Portuguese Colheita Port from the single vintage 2005, bottled in a 150 cl Magnum at 20%.

A Colheita comes from one specific harvest year and must age at least seven years in oak before it may be sold under the designation - this one has rested well beyond that minimum, and the double bottle size makes it a rare combination of vintage and format.

The Magnum format is used only exceptionally for Colheita, as the vast majority of vintages are bottled only in standard bottles - the larger bottle also means a slower development after opening, since the volume of air relative to the wine's surface is smaller.

Dalva is the Port brand of the house C. da Silva, founded in Vila Nova de Gaia in 1933 by Clemente da Silva, who a year later registered the name Dalva. The house has a particular reputation for its wide range of single-vintage Colheita Ports.

    Tasting Notes

    Nose

Wild honey, orange, caramel and cinnamon in a complex, aromatic bouquet.

    Palate

Lively and concentrated, with a fresh elegance carried by candied citrus and warm spice.

    Finish

Silky, long and sweet finish with a hint of spice.

    Specifications

    Name: Dalva 2005 Colheita Magnum
    Winery: Dalva
    Region-Country: Douro, Portugal
    Type: Colheita Port, Magnum
Grape varieties: Traditional Douro field blend (incl. Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz)
    ABV: 20%
    Size: 150 CL (Magnum)
Ageing: Oak cask, several decades (single vintage 2005)
    Vintage: 2005
Serving suggestion: Serve at 14-16°C in a Port glass, ideally with honey cake, nuts or a creamy cheese

    Flavour Profile

Complex · Candied citrus · Spiced · Silky

    Investment Potential

The combination of a named vintage and the rare Magnum format makes this bottle a double collector's item - Colheita in Magnum is the exception rather than the rule, making it especially interesting for Port collectors.

    Did You Know?

A Magnum bottle holds twice as much wine as a standard bottle, but has a relatively smaller surface area in proportion to its volume once the cork is pulled - meaning the wine typically develops more slowly and stays fresh longer after opening than its smaller sibling.

  • Famous Grouse Blended Scotch Whisky party bottle with metal pouring cradle
    Item no.: 22227865425-5001

Four and a half litres of whisky is not a bottle you lift with one hand. That is why it comes with a cradle, and why it ends up being the centrepiece of the evening rather than something standing on a shelf.

    The expert description

Famous Grouse 4.5 Litre is a Blended Scotch Whisky bottled at 40% in a 450 cl bottle.

The bottle is supplied with a metal pouring cradle so it can be served without being lifted. That is a practical necessity rather than an accessory, since a full bottle at this size weighs far too much to handle freehand at a table.

The whisky inside is the classic Famous Grouse, created in Perth in 1896 and owned by William Grant & Sons since July 2025. Malt whisky from Scottish distilleries, with Highland Park historically among those providing the character, is bound together with grain whisky into a soft blend with no sharp edges. The format is aimed at parties, bars and collectors with shelf space.

    Tasting notes

    Nose

Calm and harmonious with dried fruit, honey and vanilla, and nuts plus a touch of citrus underneath.

    Palate

Soft and round with clear fruit, ripe undertones and a lightly spiced edge.

    Finish

Short to medium, clean and lightly sweet with malt at the close.

    Specifications

    Did you know?

Large bottles do not mature differently from small ones, since whisky does not develop in glass, but they do last longer once opened. The less air there is relative to liquid, the slower the oxidation, so a nearly full large format is better off than a nearly empty standard bottle.

  • Jack Daniels Magnum
    Item no.: 22227865486-1

The black label with the white script has become just as recognisable as the whiskey inside it — Old No. 7 is the bottle everything else from Jack Daniel's gets measured against.

    Expert description

Jack Daniel's Old No. 7 is a no-age-statement Tennessee Whiskey, bottled at 40%. Jack Daniel's Distillery was founded in 1866 by Jasper Newton "Jack" Daniel in Lynchburg, Tennessee, and is officially registered as America's first distillery. All production still happens on the same site, where the whiskey is filtered drop by drop through nearly 3 metres of sugar maple charcoal before going into new, charred oak barrels — the Lincoln County Process that defines Tennessee Whiskey.

The core of the recipe is a mash of corn, rye and malted barley, fermented, distilled and then filtered through the charcoal before resting in new, charred oak barrels. The result is the smoothness and round sweetness the brand is known for worldwide.

    Tasting notes

    Nose

The nose offers caramel, vanilla and a hint of banana, carried by the characteristic smoothness from the charcoal filtering.

    Palate

The palate is round and lightly sweet, with caramel and gentle oak spice, without sharp edges.

    Finish

The finish is short to medium, warm and soft, with a lingering caramel and vanilla note.

    Item no.: 059763-615-446

The same Origine cuvée as the house's 75 cl bottle, but in magnum format - the size many sommeliers prefer, since the Champagne matures more calmly and evenly behind the larger glass wall.

    Expert's Description

Mandois Brut Origine Magnum is a Sparkling Wine from Champagne, France made from Meunier, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, bottled at 12% ABV.

Origine is Mandois' classic cuvée, blending the house's three grape varieties, and represents the core of the style from a Champagne house with roots back to 1735, run today by the ninth generation in Pierry. In magnum, the Champagne has more room to develop slowly, often giving an even more integrated result - and the format is a natural choice when several guests are sharing a bottle.

    Tasting Notes

    Nose

Fresh fruit with a touch of pastry.

    Palate

Well balanced, with an interplay between Meunier's fruit, Chardonnay's finesse and Pinot Noir's power.

    Expert's Description

Martha's MAGNUM 10 Year Old Tawny Port is an aged Tawny Port in the unusual magnum format of 150 cl with an alcohol content of 20%.

The magnum format is rare for an aged Tawny Port and makes this bottle a striking centrepiece at larger dinners or as an unusual gift.

Crémant de Bourgogne is Burgundy's answer to Champagne - made using the same method, but at a far more affordable price - and this edition from Paul Delane comes in the celebratory magnum format.

    Expert's Description

Paul Delane MAGNUM Blanc de Noirs is a Sparkling Wine from Burgundy, France, made from Pinot Noir with an alcohol content of 12%. The wine carries the designation Crémant de Bourgogne AOC, an appellation that requires the same method as Champagne - Traditional Method with secondary fermentation in bottle - but from grapes grown in Burgundy. As a Blanc de Noirs, the dark Pinot Noir grapes are gently pressed to extract only the pale juice, and the 150cl magnum format gives the wine extra time to develop slowly and elegantly in bottle.

    Tasting Notes

    Nose

Red berries, brioche and a hint of hazelnut on the nose.

    Palate

Fresh and round on the palate with fine bubbles and good body.

    Finish

    Expert Review

Tullamore Dew Irish Whiskey is an Irish Whiskey, bottled at 40%.

The whiskey is Tullamore Dew's classic blend, here available in a large 175cl bottle. The blend combines malt, pot still and grain whiskey into an approachable, well-balanced whiskey that is our favourite for an Irish Coffee. The large bottle is ideal for those who often enjoy a dram or host parties where guests need a good, reliable whiskey.

Irish whiskey named after the man who electrified an entire town.

    Expert description

Tullamore Dew Irish Whiskey is the brand's classic core expression, here in a large 450 cl bottle, bottled at 40%. The Tullamore distillery was founded in 1829 by Michael Molloy. After his death, his nephew Bernard Daly took over management and hired a 15-year-old stable boy named Daniel Edmund Williams as general manager. Williams eventually came to own the distillery and helped modernise the entire town of Tullamore — introducing electricity in 1893, the town's first telephone line, and its first motorised vehicle. After his death, his initials, D.E.W., became a permanent part of the brand name.

    Tasting notes

    Palate

The palate is soft and sweet with grain, honey and light spice.

    Finish
