The same Origine cuvée as the house's 75 cl bottle, but in magnum format - the size many sommeliers prefer, since the Champagne matures more calmly and evenly behind the larger glass wall.
Expert's Description
Mandois Brut Origine Magnum is a Sparkling Wine from Champagne, France made from Meunier, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, bottled at 12% ABV.
Origine is Mandois' classic cuvée, blending the house's three grape varieties, and represents the core of the style from a Champagne house with roots back to 1735, run today by the ninth generation in Pierry. In magnum, the Champagne has more room to develop slowly, often giving an even more integrated result - and the format is a natural choice when several guests are sharing a bottle.
Tasting Notes
Nose
Fresh fruit with a touch of pastry.
Palate
Well balanced, with an interplay between Meunier's fruit, Chardonnay's finesse and Pinot Noir's power.
Finish
Clean and refreshing, of moderate length.
Serving & Food Pairing
Serve at 8-10°C in champagne glasses. The magnum format is a natural choice for parties and larger gatherings where the Champagne is shared throughout the meal.

Did You Know?
Magnum bottles generally have a better reputation among collectors, because the smaller ratio of air to wine under the cork gives a slower, more even maturation.
