The collaboration between Jameson's master distiller and the brewmaster from Cork's Franciscan Well Brewery, which began with the stout edition, has here been extended to include IPA as well. Jameson Caskmates retains the softness of the triple-distilled Jameson Original, but here gains a fresher, more hop-forward and citrus-driven character from the IPA casks.

  In 2013, Jameson's master distiller met the brewmaster from Cork's Franciscan Well Brewery. They decided to send a few Jameson casks to the brewery to see how they might influence their handcrafted Irish stout. Once the beer had been tapped, the casks were sent back to the Jameson distillery with their new stout character, and the whiskey was filled in once more. Jameson Caskmates retains the softness of the triple-distilled Jameson Original, but adds notes of cocoa, coffee, cream caramel and a gentle touch of hops.
