  Arvesølvet is the distillery's flagship series, launched in 2011 and matured on some of the finest sherry casks from Spain. In this Christmas edition, the akvavit rests further on sweet and fortified wine casks, giving it a deep golden colour and a full, spiced character built for Norwegian holiday food.

  Nose

  Aroma of red berries and mild caraway, alongside sweet liquorice, sherry, almond, cinnamon and nuts.

  Snapsekassen from Det Norske Brenneri is a Norwegian gift box with 10 miniature bottles of aquavit and schnapps at 5 cl each, all at 40% ABV.

  The box comes from Det Norske Brenneri in Grimstad, founded in 2011 as one of the first private distilleries licensed after Norway lifted its state spirits monopoly in 2005. The distillery today carries on the tradition of Ole Puntervold and has, among other things, created Norway's first single malt whisky. Brenneriets Julekasse brings together 10 different tasting experiences, ranging from classic, spiced aquavits to sweeter, more complex styles matured in sherry and dessert-wine casks — an easy way to taste your way through Norwegian aquavit tradition across the Christmas holidays.

  Gullmunn 2022 Juleakevitt Fadlageret is a Norwegian aquavit bottled at 38% ABV.

  This Christmas edition is a vintage-dated aquavit from 2022, where the distillate first rested for a year in bourbon barrels and then a further two years in old Limousin cognac casks. The aquavit is 100% Norwegian and created by Marthe Bøhn at Oslo Håndverksdestilleri, with a recipe built on caraway spiced with orange peel, heather, iris root and chamomile.

  The extended cask maturation gives the aquavit a golden colour with copper tones and a round, sweet character, where distinct cask notes meet the classic spice profile of caraway and star anise. It is an aquavit made for the darkest time of year.

  Lysholm Linie 3 år Christmas Edition is a Norwegian aquavit bottled at 41.5% ABV.

  The aquavit follows the Linie tradition, dating back to 1805, when the Lysholm family shipped potato-based aquavit to the East Indies. When the casks returned to Trondheim, it turned out the long sea voyage had markedly improved the flavour. Ever since, every batch of Linie aquavit matures on a months-long sea journey, with the casks crossing the Equator twice.

  This Christmas edition is matured for more than 3 years, first in cask on land and then in sherry casks during the voyage itself, resulting in a soft, rounded aquavit with sweet notes of vanilla and citrus, anise and dried fruit.
