Scotto Family Wines

A Californian family wine house that has cultivated its Italian roots in American soil across three generations. It all began in 1875, when Salvatore Scotto planted his first vineyard in Ischia, Italy. The family later emigrated to the US and eventually settled in California, buying their own vineyards in 1961 and never looking back.

About Scotto Family Wines

Scotto Family Wines is an American family wine house from California, founded by a family with Italian roots. For the newcomer, it's an approachable way into Californian wine with a touch of Italian soul. For the collector, the family's journey from Ischia to California - via a brief stop in New York, where they opened one of the US's first wine shops - gives the house's wines a depth the price alone doesn't reflect.

History & Background

The family has run wine production across three generations, combining Italian winemaking tradition with Californian grape growing. All the estate's vineyards have been farmed with a strong focus on sustainability since the early 1990s, a line the family has carried through all three generations since Salvatore Scotto's first vineyard in 1875.

Production & Style

The wines are made from grapes grown in California's sunny climate, often inspired by classic Italian grape varieties.

Signature Style

Fruity, Rounded, Accessible
The flavor offers a fruity, rounded character in an accessible, Californian style.
