In the Piedmont region of northern Italy, a family-run distillery makes its gin in a custom-built vacuum still at low temperature. The signature ingredient is the highly aromatic Pancalieri mint, grown locally in the area.

Mintis Blackcurrant is an Italian gin distilled with Pancalieri mint and blackcurrant and bottled at 41.8%.
The gin comes from a family-run distillery in Piedmont, which launched the Mintis range in 2021. Distillation takes place in a custom-built vacuum still at around 60 degrees over eight hours, lower than most traditional methods, aimed at preserving the fresh aromatics of the botanicals.
The base of hand-foraged juniper, lemon and aromatic Pancalieri mint is joined in this edition by juicy blackcurrants, giving a sweet, lightly tart character. The gin is made without added sugar or colouring.

Nose
Fresh mint meets sweet blackcurrant and a lightly tart note of lemon.
Palate
The palate opens herbal with mint, before the sweetness and light tartness of blackcurrant take over, supported by piney juniper.
Finish
The finish is fresh and minty, with a last trace of dark berries.
