About Drumshanbo Gin

Drumshanbo is distilled and bottled at The Shed Distillery in the small Irish village of Drumshanbo, which also gives the gin its name. For newcomers it's an accessible, aromatic gin with an unmistakable tea note; for collectors, the gunpowder tea lends a rare smoky, earthy depth that has turned the brand into one of Ireland's fastest-exported spirits in just a few years.

History & Background

The Shed Distillery was founded in 2014 by entrepreneur PJ Rigney, who wanted to celebrate the Drumshanbo area with a world-class spirit. Rigney had previously been behind several award-winning Irish spirits brands, and with Drumshanbo he committed to small copper pot stills and an unusual botanical: Chinese gunpowder tea. The combination of local ingredients and a global flavour profile quickly drew attention far beyond Ireland, and the gin is now one of the country's best-known spirits.
