Casoni Sambuca

Casoni is one of the sambuca names Italians themselves reach for when the after-dinner coffee needs crowning with something stronger. The aniseed flavour is sweet and full without becoming overwhelming, perfect for the Italian tradition of serving sambuca 'con la mosca', with three coffee beans floating on top. It's a bottle that knows its role: to end an evening, not start one.

About Casoni

Casoni Sambuca is a classic Italian sambuca with a full, sweet aniseed flavour. For the newcomer it's an accessible introduction to Italian digestif culture; for the connoisseur, Casoni represents one of the Italian producers that has held onto traditional distillation methods across generations and remains a familiar name at Italian bars, where sambuca traditionally closes out the evening alongside an espresso.

History & Background

Casoni is an Italian spirits house from Finale Emilia in Emilia-Romagna, founded in 1814, making it one of the oldest still-existing sambuca and anise liqueur houses in Italy. Over two centuries, the house has specialized in anise-based liqueurs and bitters, and the name remains associated with classic, authentic Italian craft production. Casoni is today known both for its sambuca and for its wide range of amaro and other Italian spirits traditions.

Production & Style

The sambuca is distilled from star anise following a traditional Italian recipe.
