  The name goes back to when St Lucia Distillers' own director personally approved every single bottle before it left the distillery. That tradition lives on in Finest, the house's most accessible and yet deeply characterful rum.

  Expert Description

  Chairman's Reserve Finest is a St Lucia Rum aged in ex-bourbon barrels and bottled at 40%.

  The rum is a blend of pot still and Coffey column distillate from St Lucia Distillers, aged between four and five years in barrels that previously held bourbon. Combining the two distillation methods gives Finest a fullness usually only found in older rums, while keeping an accessible price and strength.

  The name Chairman's Reserve refers to the practice where the distillery's director would personally taste and approve every batch before release, a quality control ritual still part of the house's identity today.

  Tasting Notes

  Nose

  Cooked apples and banana bread meet nutmeg, allspice and vanilla, with a hint of pepper.

  Palate

  Sweet and creamy with golden raisins, creamy chocolate and a light tobacco note, carried by baking spice.

  Finish

  Smooth with warming spice and apple, ending on a note of butterscotch and cream.
