History & Background

St. Lucia Distillers once brought all the island's former distilleries under one roof, giving access to an unusually wide range of stills and traditions. Chairman's Reserve was developed as the distillery's flagship, named in honour of the chairman who was personally involved in selecting the casks that go into the blend.

The rum is blended from several different distillates, produced in both pot and column stills, and then aged in oak barrels, giving a complex, layered flavour profile.
