This whisky is part of the Straight From The Cask (SFTC) series, known for its powerful and unfiltered releases drawn directly from single casks at cask strength.

  This edition was distilled on April 15th, 2004, and bottled on January 15th, 2018, giving it a full 13 years of maturation. It was aged for the entire period in a single port cask (cask no. 199), which contributes to its deep color and rich flavor profile. The whisky is bottled at 53.3% ABV, un-chillfiltered and with natural color.

  Tasting notes: Nose: An intense and rich aroma of red berries, dark chocolate, pecans, and damp oak. The port cask influence is evident, bringing a sweet and vinous character that melds beautifully with Ballechin’s bold peaty smoke.
