BarSol Pisco

In the shadow of the Andes, the Ica Valley's grapes ripen into one of Peru's most respected pisco houses. BarSol distills without oak aging, letting the grape's pure, aromatic soul travel undisturbed from field to bottle. This is pisco in its most honest form.

About BarSol Pisco

BarSol is a Peruvian pisco from the Ica Valley, one of Peru's classic pisco-producing regions. For newcomers, it's an accessible introduction to pisco - fresh and aromatic, ideal in a Pisco Sour; for connoisseurs, one of Peru's more respected houses, insisting on the Peruvian rule against oak aging so the grape variety's pure character is fully preserved.

History & Background

Pisco has been distilled in Peru since the 1500s, when Spanish colonists brought distilling techniques to South America, and the name derives from the port city of Pisco on Peru's southern coast. BarSol is based in the Ica Valley, one of the country's oldest and most respected pisco regions, where the dry, sunny climate suits aromatic grape varieties. Unlike Chilean pisco, Peru's denomination of origin requires the spirit to be distilled to full strength without added water or oak aging, a rule BarSol follows strictly.

Production & Style

The pisco is distilled from aromatic grape varieties and, unlike most other grape brandies, is not aged in casks, preserving the grape's clean character.

Signature Style

Aromatic, Fruity, Clean
The flavor offers an aromatic, fruity character with a clean, unaged finish.

Did You Know?

Under Peruvian law, pisco may not be aged in casks, a rule that clearly sets it apart from other grape-based brandies like cognac.
