At a time when nearly all port wine was sold to the large houses in Vila Nova de Gaia, Quinta do Infantado became one of the first producers to bottle their ports directly on the estate. This allowed them to preserve the identity of their vineyards and create a style that stands apart: less sweet, more structured and distinctly vinous. Production follows traditional methods, often with foot‑treading in granite lagares and ageing in large, old wooden vats that add depth without overshadowing the fruit.
