Waterford Whisky

Waterford Irish Single Malt Whisky

At Waterford Distillery, they produce Irish whisky based on the same philosophy as the best wine producers in the world. They simply understand and appreciate Irish barley in the same way wine producers understand and appreciate grapes. Waterford Distillery creates terroir-driven whisky, focusing on the natural character of barley malt. In their portfolio, they have three series: Single Farm Origin, Arcadian and Cuvées.

Behind Waterford Distillery stands whisky legend Mark Reynier, who previously served as CEO of Bruichladdich Distillery. He, along with a group of private investors, acquired Bruichladdich back in 2000 from Whyte & Mackay for six million pounds. Twelve years later, they sold the distillery to Remy Cointreau for a staggering 58 million pounds. Mark opposed the sale of Bruichladdich and in 2015, he embarked on another ambitious project: Waterford Distillery.

Waterford Distillery produces some of the most exciting whisky on the market. They have a truly unique approach to whisky production that is evident in the taste. The producer has already received high praise from major whisky critics, notably earning 90 points from whisky expert Serge Valentin (Whiskyfun.com): "Extremely impressive, and I mean it. And it's not all about cask magic."

  • Waterford The Cuvée Irish Single Malt Whisky bottle
    Item no.: 2222755559-333697

Where the Single Farm Origin series is about one farm, The Cuvée is the exact opposite: a collection of Ireland's finest fields brought together in a single bottle.

Waterford The Cuvée is an Irish Single Malt Whisky assembled from barley grown on numerous Irish farms, bottled at 50%.

The bottle belongs to Waterford Distillery's Cuvées series, where the whisky is assembled from distillates sourced from many different Irish fields rather than a single farm. As with Waterford's other releases, a traceability code on the label gives access to the production data for that bottle.
