Arbikie Whisky

Whisky grown and distilled on the same family farm in Angus. Arbikie Highland Estate is run by brothers John, Iain and Alistair Stirling, whose family has farmed the land for generations, long before they decided to start distilling themselves in 2013. It's one of very few whiskies in the world where the entire journey from field to bottle happens in one place.

Arbikie Distillery are excited to announce that Arbikie 1794 Highland Rye Single Grain Scotch Whisky is now back in stock!

As with all Arbikie spirits, Batch 22 is the representation of a unique combination of weather, field and crop varieties. This year's variation displays a deep rich amber colour due to its maturation in new charred American oak and expresses aromas of forest berries, black tea and caramel.

About Arbikie

Arbikie Highland Estate sits in Angus on Scotland's east coast and is run by brothers John, Iain and Alistair Stirling, whose family has farmed the land for generations. For the newcomer, Arbikie is interesting because the entire process from soil to bottle happens in one place - a rarity in the whisky world. For the collector, the 1794 series, named after Scotland's historic tax rebellion, shows how the distillery uses local history to give its releases a depth many newer distilleries lack.

History & Background

The distillery opened in 2013 with the idea of making spirits from soil to bottle, with the Stirling family's own fields supplying the raw materials for vodka, gin and whisky alike, all under one roof.

Production & Style

The grain is grown on the estate's own fields, and the whisky range includes a rye-based 1794 series honouring Scotland's historic tax rebellion.

Signature Style

Spicy, Fruity, Earthy
The whisky offers a spicy, fruity character with an earthy finish from the rye.
