  Knaplund 5 Year Wheated Straight Bourbon Limited Edition is a Danish Whiskey inspired by the bourbon tradition, bottled at 50% and aged for 5 years. Where a classic bourbon uses rye as the secondary grain, this one uses wheat — giving a softer, more fruit-forward character. "Straight" means aged at least 2 years with no artificial colour or flavour. Limited edition release. 70 cl.

  Nose

  Vanilla and honey with soft wheat tones and a hint of peach. Light oak in the background.

  Palate

  Round and smooth with caramel, butterscotch and ripe fruit. Less spicy than a classic bourbon.

  Nose

  Spicy rye with more oak and vanilla than Batch 2. Dried fruit, light salt and maritime notes.

  Palate

  Rounder and more balanced at 50%. Spice and oak with caramel and ripe fruit. The coast still comes through clearly.

  Medium-length and warm with rye, oak and a discreet touch of salt.

Like all Knaplund Atlantic Aged expressions, it is made from a rye mash and matured by the coast so sea salt and maritime air can work into the cask. Batch 2 reflects the natural variation between batches in a craft distillery. 50 cl.
