Artonic Tonic

Artonic is Danish tonic water made by bartenders tired of gin getting all the attention while tonic was just something that came out of a can. Natural quinine and real ingredients are the whole point.

About Artonic Tonic

Tonic is often half of what's in a gin and tonic glass, yet it rarely gets the same care as the gin itself, and that's what Artonic set out to change. By using natural quinine and fresh flavourings instead of artificial aromas and excess sugar, the tonic is meant to be an equal partner to the gin, not just filler.

History & Background

Artonic was developed in Denmark during a period when the gin boom created a wave of new gin brands, while tonic water stayed largely unchanged under the dominance of a few big industrial names. By taking the bartender route, focused on balance and freshness over mass production, Artonic positioned itself as a premium alternative to shelves full of standard tonic.

Production & Style

Natural quinine from cinchona bark forms the base, joined by citrus oils and other natural flavourings, with a sugar level tuned to support rather than drown out a gin's botanicals.

Signature Style

Bitter, Fresh, Balanced
Clean quinine bitterness meets light citrus and a restrained sweetness, designed to lift a gin's botanicals rather than compete with them.

Did You Know?

Quinine, the bitter flavour in all tonic water, originally comes from the bark of the cinchona tree and was used to treat malaria long before anyone thought to mix it with gin.
