In the Drôme Provençale, where the sun bakes the orchards and the air smells of ripe peach, three drinks industry veterans from the Cognac region set out to build an aperitif around fruit rather than herbs.
Expert's Description
Artonic Nectarine is a French Appetizer made from beet alcohol infused with nectarine juice from Provence and bottled at 12%. Behind the bottle is Maison Artonic, founded by three experienced drinks professionals with roots in the Cognac region who wanted to build an aperitif range centred on fruit rather than the classic herbs and bittering agents.
Nectarine is made with nectarine juice from Provence, cane sugar and beet alcohol, resulting in a rounded, sun-ripened aperitif with a pronounced stone-fruit character. It's designed as an alternative to classic herbal vermouth — easier to drink, yet complex enough to carry a cocktail.

Artonic was created by three people from the Cognac industry who wanted to build an aperitif without the classic bittering herbs — instead relying entirely on French fruit, like the Provence nectarines in this bottle.
