  Expert Description

  Terra Verde XOS is a Dominican sugarcane spirit (Spirit Drink) aged for several years in bourbon casks and bottled at 40%.

  XOS - Extra Old Sweet - represents the essence of Terra Verde's extra sweet, soft style. The spirit is distilled from locally grown sugarcane juice near San Pedro de Macorís and matures for years in bourbon casks, which draws out the sweetness and leaves a velvety, extra sweet finish. Like the rest of A Clean Spirit's range, XOS is produced with a focus on sustainability, both locally and globally.

  The distillery is self-sufficient in green energy and recycles the biomass from production as natural fertiliser, in line with Terra Verde's philosophy of making a real difference.

  Creamy coconut, caramel and a hint of toasted almonds.

  Extra sweet and soft with clear caramel and a round, full body from the long ageing.

  The name isn't accidental: like a skunk, this rum is intense, unmistakable and hard to ignore, made in Denmark with Jamaican inspiration.

  Expert Description

  The Skunk Rum is a Danish Rum, distilled from organic molasses from Paraguay at A Clean Spirit after long fermentation inspired by the Jamaican pot still tradition, unaged and bottled at 69.3%.

  A Clean Spirit, founded by Bintu Singh in 2020, builds its entire range around sustainability: the organic molasses is Fair Trade certified, the yeast is organic, and the bottles are made from recycled glass with a glue-free cork. The long fermentation process, inspired by Jamaican tradition, gives the rum an unusual power and aromatic intensity, even though it's not cask aged.

  The result is a powerful, unrefined rum with pronounced fruit and an unmistakable ester character.
