Edinburgh Gin

In the middle of Edinburgh's 300-year-old gin tradition sits a modern house that refuses to choose between heritage and experimentation. Edinburgh Gin embraces both – from the purest dry gin to bold limited editions – while even training the next generation of distillers along the way.

About Edinburgh Gin

Edinburgh Gin has struck the perfect balance between the modern and the traditional, rooted in Edinburgh's 300-year gin history. For newcomers it's an accessible way into Scottish gin across many styles, from classic dry gin to luxurious liqueur editions; for connoisseurs it's notable that the distillery actively trains new distillers through a Knowledge Transfer Partnership with the local university, making the house a genuine part of the city's spirits heritage rather than just another bottle on the shelf.

History & Background

Edinburgh historically had a significant gin production, but this gradually disappeared as the whisky industry grew. The modern Edinburgh Gin distillery was founded in the 2010s to revive the city's gin heritage.

Production & Style

The gin is distilled with a combination of classic and Scottish botanicals, including juniper, heather, and licorice root, giving it a distinct Scottish identity.

Signature Style

Spicy, Earthy, Scottish
The flavor offers a spicy, earthy character with notes of heather and a hint of licorice.
