Created by enthusiasts, Faer Isles Distillery has from day one been fuelled by passion. Entrepreneurship and a devotion for flavour and spirits has driven this project from the day they founded the first whisky appreciation society on the islands until today when they are producing whisky and several other quality spirits based on local botanicals and culinary traditions.

Their North Atlantic Dry Gin and their North Atlantic Akvavit were released on the local market (Faroe Islands) in November 2021 and will be available in the Nordic countries and the EU late 2022. Faer Isles Whisky is not expected to be available until Q1 2026.

When they found a fresh water source below the seabed, they immediately became intrigued! And once the water then turned out to be of extraordinary quality and clarity and with a distinct taste, they knew they had struck gold. The water then even turned out to be extremely well suited for distilling, creating a very clean and smooth vodka with a distinct maritime character. Adding a little distilled seaweed provides a bit of nuttiness and floral notes to the slightly salty taste.
