Sangre de Vida Tequila Reposado is a Mexican Reposado Tequila made from 100% agave and bottled at 55%.
The name means blood of life, and behind the bottle is the Sangre de Vida brand, which makes its tequila from 100% blue Weber agave. The agave is cooked in traditional brick ovens, pressed, and the sweet must is triple distilled for extra purity. The tequila then rests for around 3 months in French Limousin oak barrels before being bottled at an unusually high strength for a reposado.
Tasting Notes
Nose
Warm vanilla, roasted agave, fine oak notes and a light citrus freshness.
Palate
Full-bodied and intense, with caramel, honey, spice and a hint of roasted character.
Finish
Long, warm and powerful, with lingering notes of oak, toffee and a touch of white pepper.
