History & Background

The brandy was first produced in 1938 by the company Buton in Bologna and has since been a fixture of Italian drinking culture. Today the brand belongs to the Illva Saronno group, the same company behind Disaronno. The distinctive clover-leaf mark on the label (Riserva Quadrifoglio) was introduced to signal the longest-aged expressions.

Production & Style

The brandy is distilled from white Italian grapes, mainly Trebbiano, and matures in oak casks using a solera-like method, where younger and older vintages are continually blended.
