Pierre de Segonzac Cognac

In 1702, Jacques, the family's ancestor, began distilling his own vineyards into Cognac. Over 300 years later, Pierre de Segonzac remains one of the few houses specialising in old, exceptional Cognacs from Grande Champagne itself.

About Pierre de Segonzac

Pierre de Segonzac is a family enterprise established in 1702, with vineyards located in Grande Champagne, the finest district in the entire Cognac region. For newcomers, the house's XO and VSOP variants are a classic, elegant introduction to fine Cognac; for collectors it's interesting that the family today is one of the few Cognac houses specialising in producing old and truly exceptional Cognacs, a niche that sets Pierre de Segonzac apart from the big, commercial brands.

History & Background

The family behind Pierre de Segonzac traces its history back to 1702, when ancestor Jacques began distilling and ageing the produce from his own vineyards in Grande Champagne. For more than three centuries the family has held to the tradition of producing Cognac of great age and rare character, at a time when many other houses have focused on younger, more accessible releases. Today Pierre de Segonzac is one of the few specialised houses within old, exceptional Cognacs, a legacy stretching all the way back to the early 1700s.

Production & Style

The cognac is distilled from Ugni Blanc grapes from Grande Champagne and matured in classic Limousin oak casks.

Signature Style
