Isfjord Premium Arctic Caribbean Rum is a Rum distilled on Saint Croix in the Caribbean and bottled at 44%.
Saint Croix is a former Danish colony with a long historical connection to rum production, and it is exactly this heritage the Danish house Isfjord draws on in this release. Although the name and label signal Arctic cold, the rum itself is entirely Caribbean in origin, creating an immediate contrast between its Nordic framing and its tropical content.
Tasting notes
Nose
Spiced, dark sweetness with caramel, vanilla and a hint of spice, complemented by honey.
Palate
Complex with toffee, dried fruit and a touch of oak, along with fragrant sugarcane, lime rind, vanilla, tobacco leaf, sandalwood, white chocolate, mango, guava and very ripe bananas.
Finish
Long-lasting and smooth with a subtle, lingering sweetness.
