Diageo has once again sent its distillers into uncharted territory. 'Into the Blue' is Glen Ord's answer to the question: what happens when mezcal meets Highland malt?
Expert's Description
Singleton of Glen Ord 17 Year Old Special Release 2025 'Into the Blue' is a Single Malt Scotch Whisky from the Glen Ord distillery, matured in ex-mezcal casks and second-fill ex-sherry casks, bottled at natural cask strength of 55.5%.
The release is part of Diageo's annual Special Releases 2025 and showcases the distillery's experimental side, where the unusual mezcal maturation adds an exotic, lightly smoky edge to the classic Highland character.
