  Expert Description

  Eminente Rum 7 Year is a Cuban Rum matured for a minimum of 7 years in ex-whiskey casks of white oak and bottled at 40%.

  The rum is inspired by 19th-century Cuban aguardientes, sugarcane spirits that make up an unusually high proportion of the blend – up to 70%. This gives Eminente an aromatic intensity that sets it apart from many other Cuban rum styles. Behind the brand is Cuba Ron in partnership with the French luxury group LVMH, which has invested in reviving classic Cuban rum craftsmanship.

  Tasting Notes

  Nose

  Roasted coffee, leather, cigar box, cocoa and toasted almonds.

  Palate

  Full-bodied with vanilla, brown sugar, caramel and prunes, balanced by bitter oak tannins, coffee and dry cigar leaf, while ginger, nutmeg and pepper bring the flavour to life.

  Finish

  Long, dry finish with cocoa, coffee and a faint hint of smoke.
