Ardnahoe presents an exclusive Small Batch release created specifically for the Danish market – a powerful and characterful Islay single malt that unites the distillery’s clean, maritime spirit with the deep sweetness of Pedro Ximénez quarter casks. The result is a whisky that is young, intense and remarkably complex for its age.

Distilled in June 2019 and bottled in February 2026, this 6‑year‑old expression showcases Ardnahoe’s signature style: slow distillation, high cut points and the use of traditional worm tubs, which contribute to a fuller, richer and more oily spirit. After its initial maturation, the whisky was transferred into small PX quarter casks, adding layers of dark fruit, syrupy sweetness and spicy depth.

On the nose, an intense mix of peat smoke, sea spray and sweet PX notes rises immediately. Dried fruits, raisins and dark caramel form a warm, rich layer over the fresh smoke, while a salty mineral edge evokes the rugged Islay coastline. There is both youthful vibrancy and a surprising maturity in the aroma.

The palate is powerful and full‑bodied, driven by the high strength of 60.6%. The oily texture from the worm tubs gives the whisky a bold mouthfeel where smoke, dark chocolate, raisins, spices and deep, syrup‑like sweetness melt together.
