Hacien Tequila

Hacien is tequila from Mexico's agave country, where blue agave matures for years under the sun before becoming spirit. It's a bottle that insists on craft over mass production. The taste carries the earth it comes from straight into the glass.

Pineapple and citrus meet earthy agave in this Blanco Tequila from Jalisco – easy to drink, but never dull. The kind of bottle you shake into a cocktail on a warm afternoon without thinking twice.

    Expert Description

Hacien Pineapple Blanco Tequila is a Mexican Blanco Tequila from Jalisco, infused with natural pineapple and bottled at 38%. It comes from Hacien, a distillery founded by Seb Francis and Jordan Myers and based just outside the town of Tequila. The base is 100% Blue Weber Agave, its hearts slow-steamed in traditional stone ovens for 36-54 hours before being pressed and distilled – with no added glucose or fructose. For this expression, the finished Blanco Tequila is infused with natural pineapple flavouring and agave syrup, so the agave's own character still comes through.

    Did You Know?

There is a small play on words behind the name Hacien – "Ha Cien" means "has one hundred" in Spanish, a nod to the pure 100% Blue Weber Agave behind every bottle, while the name also nods to Mexico's traditional haciendas.

About Hacien

Hacien Tequila is made from blue agave following Mexican tradition. There is limited public documentation about the producer's specific background, but the product follows the classic tequila process of harvesting, cooking, and distilling agave. For newcomers it's an accessible introduction to genuine Mexican tequila.

History & Background

Hacien is a tequila whose name echoes the Spanish word hacienda, a classic term for a large landed estate or farm in Spanish-speaking Latin America. Haciendas historically played a central role in Mexican agriculture, including early agave cultivation, before many were dissolved during the Mexican Revolution in the early 1900s. The name is a deliberate nod to this rural, tradition-rich past, even though the brand isn't tied to a single named hacienda. The agave for Hacien is grown and processed by conventional method in Jalisco.

Production & Style

The agave plants are harvested and oven-roasted, after which the must is distilled into tequila following traditional Mexican method.

Signature Style

Earthy, Spiced, Sweet
The tequila offers an earthy, spiced character with a sweet agave finish.
