History & Background

Merser & Co. was founded in 2019 as London's first rum blending house in over a century, at a time when the city had otherwise lost its position as a centre for the rum trade. The name "Merser" comes from the Old English word for "merchant," a direct reference to London's long history as a trading city for colonial goods, including rum from across the Caribbean.

Production & Style

The rums are sourced from several Caribbean countries and shipped to London, where they are blended and left to rest in oak barrels for up to six months so the flavours can harmonise and develop depth before bottling.
