  The new Ardbeg is 19 years old and called Traigh Bhan - this is Batch 4 - a Single Islay Malt Whisky at 46.2%, which will be released in a new batch from the cult distillery each year. No two Ardbeg Traigh Bhan batches are the same, as there are delicate changes between each batch. This time around, the whisky presents a silkier character, thanks to the higher amounts of first fill Bourbon casks in conjunction with sherry casks. Each batch carries its own unique cold, batch symbol and the signature of one of the distillery's familiar faces - this year it's Collin Gordon This sublime dram is the epitome of an older Ardbeg. On the nose, faint hints of sweet smoked wood and sour cream evolve into powerful notes of fennel, celery and roasted the. In the mouth, a salty mouthfeel transforms into soft notes of herbs, followed by salted peanuts, smoked pineapple and lime juice.
