Cedar Ridge Whiskey

Jeff Quint comes from a family rooted in corn farming, and in 2005 he made the leap from winemaking to whiskey distilling with Cedar Ridge. He built Iowa's first licensed distillery since Prohibition in the 1920s, with a simple logic: if Iowa is America's biggest corn producer, bourbon should come from here too. This is whiskey with roots straight in the fields.

About Cedar Ridge

Cedar Ridge Distillery Whiskey is created by Jeff Quint, who comes from a family rooted in farming and corn growing. For the newcomer it's an accessible, corn-forward bourbon; for the connoisseur, Cedar Ridge is interesting as Iowa's first licensed distillery since Prohibition in the 1920s, built on the idea that the state, as America's biggest corn producer, should naturally have its own bourbon, a philosophy that has won the distillery several awards, including American Distilling Institute's 'Distiller of the Year' in 2017.

History & Background

Jeff Quint founded Cedar Ridge Distillery in 2005 as Iowa's first licensed distillery since Prohibition in the 1920s, having previously run a vineyard on the same land. The idea was simple: since Iowa is the biggest corn-producing state in the US, it made sense to distil bourbon locally rather than ship the raw material elsewhere. The distillery has since won a number of awards, including American Distilling Institute's 'Distiller of the Year' in 2017 and 'Best American Craft Whiskey' at the New York World Spirits Competition in 2016, and has expanded its range to include rye whiskey and single malt.

Production & Style

The whiskey is distilled and matured locally in Iowa, giving it a distinctly American Midwest character.

Signature Style

Sweet, Caramel, Round
The whiskey offers a sweet, caramel character with a round finish.
