  The Glover by Adelphi - two casks of First Fill Bourbon from the cult Japanese distillery Chichibu are blended together to create this fusion whisky with two casks from Ardnamurchan. The result is a fantastic cask strength dram in honor of diplomat Thomas Blake Glover, who spent most of his life in Japan. The series from Adelphi is therefore called The Glover and only 1008 bottles of The Glover Batch 5 have been made.

  The Glover is a fantastic blended malt of rare Japanese and Scotch whiskies. Named after Thomas Glover, the 'Scottish Samurai' who moved to Japan and established the company that later became Mitsubishi and Japan Brewery Company. Thomas Glover was the first foreigner to be awarded the 'Order of the Rising Sun' by the then Japanese Emperor to celebrate the relationship between the two countries.
  This 22-year-old blended malt contains whisky from a single ex-Sherry hogshead from the closed distillery Hanyu and is blended together for this fusion whisky with an American oak ex-Sherry hogshead from Longmorn and a little from Glen Garioch (ex-Sherry butt). The new series from Adelphi is called The Glover - only 390 bottles have been made of this edition.
