History & Background

Brugal was founded in 1888 by Andrés Brugal Montaner in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, and has since grown into one of the country's largest and most respected rum houses, still owned and run by the Brugal family across five generations. The Añejo expression is the house's pride, symbolising the continuity the family has kept since founding.

Production & Style

The rum is distilled from molasses and aged in oak barrels for 2 to 5 years, giving the Añejo its full, soft character with notes of oak and caramel.
