Sorgin GinSorgin (which means "witch" in Basque) is the first spirit sold by Sabine Jaren and François Lurton, well-known winegrower and owner of vineyards in several countries, including the family estate, Château Bonnet, in the Entre-Deux-Mers.Sorgin is a complex gin that highlights the aromatics of juniper berries and Sauvignon Blanc, along with underlying fruity and herbaceous nuances. It features very powerful aromatics. Sorgin starts out straightforward, going on to reveal full body and great aromatic intensity. The long, beautiful, and elegant aftertaste displays hints of broom flower and violet, perfectly balanced with the juniper. In late 2016, François Lurton decided to diversify his business by relaunching the distilling activity his great-grandfather, Léonce Récapet, had inherited in 1880. This Distilled Gin was designed to be a link between wine and spirits.Sorgin is a Premium Distilled Gin made with carefully-selected aromatic plants and citrus fruit. Based on an original recipe, Sorgin was inspired by François Lurton's particular attraction to one grape variety, Sauvignon Blanc, in order to create a fruity, delicate Distilled Gin. This straightforward gin with a unique personality is best enjoyed neat or with tonic, which highlights the delicious bitterness of citrus and the fruitiness of blackcurrant. It is recommended to serve Sorgin with twist of grapefruit or orange.
