The gin is handmade with citrus notes and a touch of warmth from cardamom.
The name comes from the first batch, which was distilled overnight, with the sun rising the moment the last drop ran out of the still.
Aurora is the Roman goddess of dawn and sister to both the sun and the moon, which is how the gin got its name.

History & Background

Lowlands emerged in the flatlands of West Jutland as part of the wave of Danish micro-distilleries that have spent the last decade experimenting with local ingredients and new flavour profiles. Its location by Skjern Enge, one of Denmark's largest nature reserves, has given the distillery unique access to wild herbs and plants used in the gin's recipe.

Production & Style

The gin is distilled with juniper as its base, joined by wild botanicals harvested in and around Skjern Enge, giving a clear West Jutland terroir character.
