1876 – John Duff, former manager at Glendronach Distillery, founds the distillery. Alexander Grigor Allan (to become part-owner of Talisker Distillery), the whisky trader George Thomson and Charles Shirres (both will co-found Longmorn Distillery some 20 years later with John Duff) and H. Mackay are also involved in the company.
1895 – The company Glenlossie-Glenlivet Distillery Co. is formed. Alexander Grigor Allan passes away.
1896 – John Duff becomes more involved in Longmorn and Mackay takes over management of Glenlossie.
1919 – Distillers Company Limited (DCL) takes over the company.
1929 – A fire breaks out and causes considerable damage.
1930 – DCL transfers operations to Scottish Malt Distillers (SMD).
1962 – Stills are increased from four to six.
1971 – Another distillery, Mannochmore, is constructed by SMD on the premises. A dark grains plant is installed.
1990 – A 10 year old is launched in the Flora & Fauna series.
2010 – A Manager´s Choice single cask from 1999 is released.
