About Riga Balsam Bitter

Riga Black Balsam is a Latvian herbal bitter, known for its dark colour and complex blend of over 20 different herbs and spices. For newcomers it's Latvia's national drink, enjoyed neat, in coffee or in cocktails; for collectors it's notable that the bitter reportedly cured Empress Catherine the Great in the 18th century, a legend still proudly part of the brand's identity, with the recipe of birch buds, raspberries and honey largely unchanged since.
