This edition is an exclusive preview version, fitted with a handwritten and hand‑signed label, as the printed labels simply didn’t arrive in time. The following batches will, of course, feature the final design.

  The whisky is non‑chill filtered, naturally coloured, and crafted through LBD’s own cask management and blending philosophy. The vatting consists of 60% first‑fill bourbon casks and 40% sherry casks (PX and oloroso, both refill and first‑fill), giving it a style that differs noticeably from an official Glen Garioch. The aim is to create a signature single malt that combines LBD’s uncompromising focus on quality with a more accessible price and genuine availability in shops.

  This preview release is limited to 500 bottles, each individually hand‑numbered. It is a whisky that works beautifully as an everyday dram, yet has enough depth to be shared on special occasions. A bottle made for good company – and for giving whisky fans an early taste of what will become Little Brown Dog’s first permanent release.

  This single cask from Ben Nevis was distilled on 24 June 1999 and matured for 26 years in a 2nd fill bourbon hogshead before being bottled on 30 June 2025 by Little Brown Dog. Only 220 bottles exist from this cask, making it a truly rare and extraordinary release.

  Little Brown Dog is known for selecting characterful casks, and this is no exception. It carries the classic Ben Nevis depth and personality, with an elegant bourbon cask influence and a distinctive flavour profile.

  The label features a Japanese koi carp – a subtle nod to Ben Nevis' historical connection to Japan, where spirit from the distillery was shipped to mature and later sold as Japanese whisky.

  On the nose, it offers mature fruits, cereal sweetness, honey and citrus oil. The palate is layered and expressive with notes of pineapple tart, crisp pastry, toffee, vanilla and nutmeg, followed by a long and refined finish with a gentle mineral character. A whisky with soul, elegance and great balance.

  This exclusive Bruichladdich 22 Year Old Single Cask is one of those rare bottlings that speaks directly to the heart of any Islay enthusiast. Distilled in 2003 and bottled in 2025 – after more than two decades in a bourbon cask – this whisky stands as a shining example of Bruichladdich’s elegant, unpeated style combined with depth, maturity, and a texture found only in the very best private casks.

  Only 140 bottles were drawn from this single cask, and each bottle carries a very special label: an original oil painting by the Danish artist Bjarne Helverskov Andersen. The motif recalls the dunes at Kintra on Islay – and at the same time serves as a personal tribute to the artist, who was the grandfather of the friend who sold the cask. A beautiful and meaningful detail that ties whisky and history together.

  The cask was part of a parcel of four purchased by LBD, but this was without doubt the jewel of the collection. The flavour, depth, and silky texture stood out immediately – a Bruichladdich with a character rarely seen even among private casks. It is a whisky you fall in love with at the first sip, and the entire parcel was bought solely to secure this specific cask.

  The fact that only 140 bottles exist worldwide naturally makes it highly sought after – yet it remains a bottling that offers impressive value considering its age, distillery, and exclusivity.

  To preserve the unique texture, the whisky was bottled through a 20‑micron filter instead of the finer filters normally used. This provides an experience as close to “cask‑to‑glass” as possible. You may therefore notice a small amount of natural cask sediment, which only enhances the whisky’s authenticity and raw character.

  Expect a deep, mature, and creamy Bruichladdich with:

  Little Brown Dog writes:
  We don't often get the chance to explore warehouses freely, and there’s a good reason for that. However, it seems the Glenwyvis team didn’t get the memo. On a day spent in their incredibly packed dunnage warehouse, after sampling many excellent casks, we found a truly outstanding one. This cask is remarkable as it is the first Madeira cask they have ever filled, making it a significant part of this young distillery’s history. We believe this cask pairs wonderfully with their spirit, and it’s likely that Madeira casks will become an important part of Glenwyvis’s identity in the future.
  
  Interestingly, this cask was also one of the least accessible in the entire warehouse, so we’re quite pleased with our find. The whisky is characterized by a color reminiscent of strawberry wine. On the nose, it presents aromas of apricot, a unique hint of cidre (not cider), and pecans. The palate offers a delightful combination of strawberry tart, panforte, and Ethiopian coffee beans. The finish is marked by sweet notes of angelica and a touch of English mustard. Bottled the day after its 5th birthday, this release comprises just 299 bottles. It features natural color, is non-chill filtered, cask strength, and is a single cask offering.

  This cask was originally good mature whisky, but it lacked character and depth, which a good wood finish could help. We paired it with a cask from Pineau des Charentes sweet dessert wine to add fruit and richness. The color resembles Haribo peach sweets that melted on your car dashboard. The nose evokes thoughts of apricot jam on buttered wholegrain toast. On the palate, you experience peach cobbler, the expensive ice cream with the little black dots of vanilla in it, along with notes of white tea. The finish offers well-made crème brûlée, tinned peach juice, and rye spices.

  This release needs a bit of background to fully understand its uniqueness. For everyone except SDVS and the SWA, this would essentially be considered a Scottish bourbon. The spirit was created at Invergordon by an American bourbon producer who was instructed to do everything exactly as they would in the United States. And they did – down to the smallest detail.

  Here we encounter a classic example of how legislation can shape the identity of a spirit. During fermentation, enzymes were added to increase yield, a completely normal practice in American bourbon production but not permitted in Scotch whisky. As a result, this spirit can be classified neither as bourbon nor as single grain Scotch. Instead, it has been labelled High Rye Scottish Spirit Drink – high rye due to the mash bill, and because its style and character sit much closer to bourbon than to rye whisky.

  A small nod to its American soul appears on the label, where bourbon biscuits are subtly referenced in the background.

  Why LBD chose to bottle it
  Because they are nerds. Because the diversity of the whisky world is wonderful. And because this spirit tells a story that few would dare to release. It challenges the boundaries of how rules and traditions define a category – and shows how exciting things become when you explore the grey areas.

  LBD knows their customers share the same curiosity and understanding of the process. And most importantly: the liquid is excellent. This is a rare opportunity to taste what a bourbon‑inspired spirit, distilled in Scotland, can actually be like – and at a very attractive price.

  Spring 2024, Little Brown Dog released a blended malt whisky from Campbeltown named Wee Broon Electric Coo. After that bottling, a small amount of whisky still remained in the casks, and instead of letting it go to waste, Little Brown Dog decided to create a new edition – this time a mega blended malt as a tribute to the three iconic distilleries (still in production) in Campbeltown.

  One of the conditions for purchasing these casks was that they had to be used for a blend. The whisky is therefore composed of a unique combination of:

  - 9 year-old Glen Scotia
  - 12 and 16 year-old Kilkerran
  - 10 and 21 year-old Springbank

  All matured in first fill bourbon casks and refill sherry casks.

  The purpose of this whisky is simple: it should be accessible to everyone. No waiting lists, no ballots – just an honest Campbeltown whisky made for pure enjoyment. The result is a dram that brings together the best of the region: an oily texture, deep complexity and a long, satisfying finish – just as long as the sunny days during the summer season.

  A loving touch of humor can also be seen on the label, where three dairy cows represent the three distilleries. This fits perfectly with Little Brown Dog’s background, as the company is owned by a farmer and a former veterinarian – while also paying tribute to Campbeltown’s agricultural heritage, symbolized by the green background of the label.

  This Longmorn 2014 Single Cask is a rare and characterful insight into what the distillery can deliver when a single bourbon cask is allowed to stand on its own. Distilled in 2014 and bottled in 2025 at full cask strength of 58.9%, this whisky showcases Longmorn’s creamy, fruit‑driven Speyside style in its purest and most unadulterated form.

  Only 252 bottles were drawn from this 1st fill bourbon cask, and the label was created with a touch of humour: the whisky is so soft and buttery on the palate that the bottlers chose a “butter pack” design as a tribute to its silky lactone profile. A small detail that perfectly reflects the experience waiting in the glass.

  This cask has long been one of LBD’s absolute favourites in the warehouse – a cask that simply waited for the right moment to be shared. Longmorn rarely appears as an independent bottling, which makes this release particularly special.

  The pale, almost transparent colour is completely deceptive. Behind it lies a whisky with impressive complexity, depth, and structure. A perfect example of how colour is never a guarantee of intensity – and how a good bourbon cask can deliver far more than expected. Note the “Lurpak” colours on the label – because this whisky is “as smooth as butter.”

  Expect a fresh, creamy, and aromatic Longmorn with:

  vanilla, coconut, and light tropical fruits
  citrus, green melon, and fresh oak
  a clean, oily, and long finish

  The label on this whisky is yellow because Andrew once bought a wood chipper that was that color—a perfectly obvious reason. The color of the whisky resembles maple syrup, and the nose presents notes of a pencil case, sweet aged balsamic, and cherry lips, creating an inviting aroma. On the palate, you experience a delightful combination of Jamaican ginger loaf, Medjool dates, and pipe tobacco, providing a complex and satisfying flavor experience. The finish reveals notes of cardamom cookies and glace ginger, rounding out the overall taste.
  
  We chose this cask because it is a fruity spice bomb with loads of character. It has an old-school sherry influence with balanced tannins and great integration. As always, the whisky is with natural color, cask strength, and never chill-filtered, ensuring an authentic tasting experience.
