Poli Marconi Gin

About Poli Marconi

Marconi Gin from Jacopo Poli is named after and a tribute to Guglielmo Marconi, the Italian inventor of the telegraph and Nobel Prize recipient. For newcomers it's an exciting introduction to Italian gin with regional botanicals; for connoisseurs it's notable that the distillery, known for a broad range of Limoncello, Vermouth, Sambuca and Grappa, manages to give the gin the same craft identity as the rest of the house's products.

History & Background

The Jacopo Poli distillery, founded by the Italian Poli family, chose to honour fellow countryman Guglielmo Marconi with a namesake gin, in recognition of his groundbreaking invention of the telegraph and his Nobel Prize in Physics. The naming reflects a broader Italian tradition of celebrating national scientific and cultural achievements through food and drink. Marconi Gin is today a fixed part of Poli's broad spirits range, spanning from Limoncello to Grappa.

Production & Style

The gin is distilled with juniper and Italian botanicals on a base that draws on the house's grappa heritage.
