Courvoisier Cognac

Courvoisier is the cognac house historically linked to Napoleon himself, and it still carries the imperial silhouette in its bottle shape. This is a cognac built on story as much as on cask.

About Courvoisier

Courvoisier belongs to the big four cognac houses and is known for a soft, approachable style that has made the brand popular well beyond France.

History & Background

The house was founded in 1809 by Félix Courvoisier and Louis Gallois near Paris, before production moved to Jarnac in the heart of the Cognac region. The legend of a connection to Napoleon Bonaparte has followed the brand ever since, earning it the nickname "The Cognac of Napoleon". Ownership has changed hands several times over the years, most recently to Campari Group.

Production & Style

The cognac is blended from several crus around Jarnac and matured in French oak casks in the house's own cellars. The style is deliberately round and approachable rather than sharp and powerful.

Signature Style

Soft, Fruity, Elegant
Expect ripe apples and plums, a touch of oak spice, and a mild, elegant finish.
