Glen Scotia is one of the few remaining distilleries in Campbeltown – a region once known as the whisky capital of the world. Lady of the Glen, founded by Gregor Hannah, is an independent bottler that highlights individual casks without compromise: natural color, no chillfiltration, and bottling at full cask strength.

This 2016 distillation was matured for 8 years and finished in an ex-Tawny Port cask (#8924). This Glen Scotia demonstrates how a young Campbeltown spirit can gain extra depth and complexity through a port cask finish. The combination of maritime notes and the fruity sweetness of Tawny Port creates a whisky with both edge and elegance. With only 231 bottles produced, it is an exclusive release that will appeal to both collectors and enthusiasts.

Spring 2024, Little Brown Dog released a blended malt whisky from Campbeltown named Wee Broon Electric Coo. After that bottling, a small amount of whisky still remained in the casks, and instead of letting it go to waste, Little Brown Dog decided to create a new edition – this time a mega blended malt as a tribute to the three iconic distilleries (still in production) in Campbeltown.

One of the conditions for purchasing these casks was that they had to be used for a blend. The whisky is therefore composed of a unique combination of:

- 9 year-old Glen Scotia
- 12 and 16 year-old Kilkerran
- 10 and 21 year-old Springbank

All matured in first fill bourbon casks and refill sherry casks.

The purpose of this whisky is simple: it should be accessible to everyone. No waiting lists, no ballots – just an honest Campbeltown whisky made for pure enjoyment. The result is a dram that brings together the best of the region: an oily texture, deep complexity and a long, satisfying finish – just as long as the sunny days during the summer season.

A loving touch of humor can also be seen on the label, where three dairy cows represent the three distilleries. This fits perfectly with Little Brown Dog’s background, as the company is owned by a farmer and a former veterinarian – while also paying tribute to Campbeltown’s agricultural heritage, symbolized by the green background of the label.
