Dill, caraway and fennel from a small island in the middle of the Öresund, where royal feasting and statecraft once met. Erik's Akvavit is a tribute to a king who loved to gather people around the table.
The Expert's Description
Spirit of Hven Erik's Swedish Akvavit is a Swedish akvavit from Spirit of Hven, 40% alcohol.
The akvavit is named after King Erik of Pomerania, ruler of the Kalmar Union spanning Denmark, Norway and Sweden, and known for his lavish feasts of food and drink. Much like the king himself, this akvavit is bold and spirited in its spiced style, distilled on Hven, the small island in the Öresund where Spirit of Hven has run its family-owned distillery since 2008.
