Hancock Craft Beer

Hancock is the Jutland brewhouse from 1876 that has never been tempted by shortcuts. From the Skive area, the family brewery has for generations held onto solid, unpretentious Danish brewing craft while much of the industry around it was bought up and industrialised. This is beer that still tastes of place and history.

Hancock Påskebryg Beer 33 cl 10.5%

Hancock Påskebryg is a strong and traditional Danish Easter brew with an alcohol content of 10.5%. It is brewed exclusively with 100% Saaz hops, giving it a clean, aromatic and lightly spicy hop profile.

The flavour is powerful, full‑bodied and intense – the result of the large amount of raw materials used in the brewing process. The beer is also matured for a full 2 years at freezing temperature before bottling, which creates a rounder, smoother and more harmonious character.

A distinctive and flavourful Easter brew for those who appreciate classic Danish brewing craftsmanship with plenty of body and depth.

About Hancock

Hancock is one of Denmark's most traditional breweries, founded in 1876 in Skive and family-owned across generations. The brewery is known for an uncompromising approach to classic Danish beer brewing, where quality and local tradition outweigh trends. For collectors, Hancock represents a rare example of an independent Danish brewery that has survived nearly 150 years without being swallowed by the big brewing groups.

History & Background

Hancock Brewery was founded in 1876 in Skive, making it one of Denmark's oldest still-active breweries. Over the decades it has remained family-run while much of the Danish brewing industry consolidated around a couple of large groups. The name Hancock comes from one of the early co-owners, and the brewery has since kept its focus on classic, craft-driven beer styles rather than mass production.

History & Background

The brewery has changed ownership several times over the years but has retained a strong local connection to Jutland.

Production & Style

The beers are brewed using classic Danish methods, with growing focus on craft beer alongside the traditional pilsners.

Signature Style

Malty, Traditional, Varied
The flavour varies by beer type, but a malty, Danish base note runs throughout.
