About Bulleit Whiskey

Bulleit was founded in 1987 by Thomas E. Bulleit Jr., who left a career as a lawyer to revive his family's historic 1830s bourbon recipe, said to have been created by his great-great-grandfather Augustus Bulleit. The brand stands out from most bourbons for its high proportion of rye in the mash bill, giving a spicier, drier style with notes of oak, nutmeg and toffee, while Bulleit Rye offers an even sharper, award-winning profile.
