About Signal Hill

Signal Hill Whisky is named after one of Canada's most famous landmarks, known for its panoramic view, and is blended by master blender Michael Booth. For newcomers it's an accessible, gently sweet Canadian whisky with notes of vanilla, oak and fruit; for connoisseurs it's notable that the whisky is deliberately blended across grain and cask types so it can't be classified under a single category like pure rye or bourbon.

History & Background

Signal Hill in Canadian St. John's is one of the country's most photographed viewpoints, and the name was chosen for the whisky to underline its Canadian identity. Master blender Michael Booth led the blending with a clear goal: chasing flavour rather than following a fixed category, resulting in a blend of different grain and cask types. The approach has made Signal Hill a whisky that deliberately avoids being pigeonholed as either rye or bourbon.

Production & Style

The whisky is distilled and matured using classic methods, giving it a round, characterful profile.

Signature Style

Round, Characterful, Maritime
The whisky offers a round character with a touch of maritime character.
