  Pisang Ambon is a Dutch banana liqueur from Lucas Bols, based on an old Indonesian recipe, bottled at 17% ABV.

  The liqueur was introduced in 1948 by Lucas Bols, whose roots as a family company date back to 1575. The name "Pisang" means banana in Indonesian, and "Ambon" refers to the Indonesian island the Dutch had ties to during the colonial period. Production itself takes place in Holland, however, where Bols had the resources and expertise to create a high-quality liqueur inspired by the exotic island.
