  The whisky is part of The Kylver Series, Wolfburn's most experimental release line, where each bottle is named after a rune from the old futhark alphabet. Wolfburn is one of Scotland's most northerly distilleries, located near Thurso in Caithness, producing an unpeated style built from scratch with a clear focus on craftsmanship.

  The whisky is a sweet-toned release matured in small, half-size bourbon casks, giving the spirit more contact with the wood and therefore a faster, more intense maturation. It is part of Wolfburn's Small Batch series and was released alongside No. 128, a lightly peated whisky matured in the same cask type.

  Wolfburn Aurora Single Malt Scotch Whisky 46% is a Single Highland Malt Scotch Whisky, matured in American oak and Spanish Oloroso sherry casks and bottled at 46%.

  The whisky was created by distillery manager Shane Fraser in a limited outturn of 3,000 bottles, matured in a combination of American oak and Spanish Oloroso sherry casks. The long fermentation and slow, gentle distillation produce a spirit later matured on-site in the distillery's own warehouses.
