Ærø Danish Whisky

Ærø Whisky was founded in 2013 by Michael Nielsen, who started making whisky in his spare time. All ingredients were sourced from the island, but equipment was lacking. Three years later, Ærø Whisky Distillery arrived, and in 2019, the brewery was opened. The herbs produced for distillation are located in an annex. The dream of locally produced Ærø Whisky was fulfilled. In their Single Malt whiskies, there is even traceability to the individual field.

A fine vanilla note emerges and gives a soft aftertaste, which, despite the high intensity of the alcohol, gives a quite exquisite dram in fine balance.
